From 1949 onwards Dr Radhakrishnan spent his life in the service of nation as ambassador to Russia (1949-52), as Vice-President (1952-62) and as President of India (1962-67).
After a long period of service he passed away on April 17, 1975.
Dr Radhakrishnan was an outstanding teacher and educationist ever produced by our country.
